Difference Between a Sanitary Tee and a Regular Tee

Sanitary tees are not used for venting above the drain connection (a vent tee or combo fitting is used instead).
Installation Tips
Must be installed in the correct orientation (horizontal inlet to vertical outlet) to prevent leaks and ensure proper drainage.
Should not be used in vertical-to-horizontal transitions (use a wye fitting or combination fitting instead).
