DBRfittings' 90° Street Elbow is a specific type of pipe fitting used to make a right-angle (90-degree) turn in a piping system. What makes it unique and different from a standard elbow is its design: one end has a male (external) thread, and the other end has a female (internal) thread or a socket for solvent welding.
This asymmetrical design is its defining feature and the reason for the name "street" elbow. The term originates from old plumbing practices where this fitting was used to make turns coming out of a wall or going into a fixture, essentially connecting the "main" to the "street" or branch line.
